The Minimalistic Nosing (M) is an aluminium LVT stair nosing for 3mm stick-down vinyl. The 35mm base screws flat to the tread and the 20mm drop screws to the riser face – both get feathered in before the LVT goes down. Once the floor is in, only the 6mm rounded nose is visible at the front of each tread. Pairs with the Step To Riser Trim (W) at the base of each riser. 2.7m length, supplied with screws and rawl plugs.

When you lay 3mm stick-down LVT on stairs, the front edge of each tread needs securing before the floor goes down. The Minimalistic Nosing (M) is an aluminium LVT stair nosing that fixes to both the tread and the riser before the floor covering goes in. The 35mm base screws flat to the tread surface and the 20mm drop screws to the vertical riser face below it. Both get feathered in so the LVT runs over them flush with no ridge. Once the floor is down, only the 6mm rounded nose sits visible at the front edge of each tread. Furthermore, the M bar pairs with the Step To Riser Trim (W) at the base of each riser. Together they secure the LVT at both the top and bottom of the riser face.
The M bar has a 35mm base and a 20mm drop. The base screws flat to the tread and the drop screws to the riser below it. Both get screwed down before the LVT goes in – screws and rawl plugs are included. Then feather the Planiprep Fix floor levelling compound around both so they sit flush with the surrounding surfaces. The LVT then runs over the feathered-in base on the tread. Once the floor is down, the 6mm rounded nose is the only visible part at the front edge of each tread. For a complete installation, also fit the Edging Strip (U) at any exposed floor ends.
The Minimalistic Nosing (M) has a 35mm base and a 20mm drop. The rounded nose is 6mm – as a result, this is the only part visible above the finished floor. It takes 3mm LVT only and will not work with thicker floor coverings. Being aluminium, it cuts cleanly with a chopsaw or hacksaw. The 2.7m length covers most standard stair flights. It also comes in a bundle of 10 for larger projects or trade quantities.
The Minimalistic Nosing (M) is part of the Trims for 3mm Vinyl/LVT range. Screw the M bar down at each tread front edge before the LVT goes in. In addition, fit the Step To Riser Trim (W) at each riser base. Then feather the Planiprep Fix around all the trims and lay the LVT to finish.
