Description & Downloads

Cocoa Laminate Scotia Beading (LD30) covers the expansion gap left between the edge of your laminate floor and the skirting board. Every floating floor needs room to move as temperature and humidity change throughout the year. In fact, that gap is not a fault – it is a requirement. Furthermore, Cocoa Laminate Scotia Beading is the clean, low-profile way to conceal it.

Where to use Cocoa Laminate Scotia Beading

Cocoa is a warm, medium oak tone with a subtle grain pattern. It works well alongside natural oak and chestnut laminate floors and sits closest to the Natural Chestnut door bar in our laminate range. It is also a good choice where skirting boards have a wood stain or natural timber finish rather than white paint. It is particularly effective in rooms with wooden floors running through into hallways, where a consistent warm tone across both the flooring and the trim ties the spaces together.

Sizing and Cutting

The Cocoa Laminate Scotia Beading profile is 15mm x 15mm and comes in 2.4m lengths. For a standard room perimeter, simply measure the total length needed and calculate how many lengths to order. Where two pieces meet at an internal corner, mitre the ends to suit the angle of the corner for a clean, tight joint.

How to fit Cocoa Beading

First, fix with a pin gun into the skirting board at 45 degrees. However, do not pin into the floor. Pinning into the floor locks the boards in place and causes them to buckle as they try to expand. The beading must therefore only be fixed to the skirting so the floor remains free to move underneath it.
