Invisible End Bar – Solid Oak Door Bar

The invisible end bar is a solid oak door bar that gives a neat finish at the exposed edge of a solid or engineered wood floor. The Invisible finish is a very light oak. With a warm yellowish tone and fine natural grain lines running through the surface. In particular, the lightness of the finish means the bar blends naturally into a light oak floor, sitting quietly at the threshold without drawing attention. No printed finish replicates it.

The bar is 34mm wide and 15mm tall at the floor edge, sitting 5mm above the floor on the visible side. The supplied fixing track adjusts to floor thicknesses of 14 to 18mm.

Where to Use an Invisible Solid Oak End Bar

The end bar is for situations where the floor has an exposed edge with no adjoining floor surface to meet. Specifically, it suits thresholds at patio doors, bifold doors, fireplaces, and mat wells where the solid or engineered wood floor ends. Without a second floor on the other side.

Overall, Invisible works best where the bar needs to sit as quietly as possible at the threshold. It suits rooms with very light oak or pale natural wood floors where a close colour match reduces the visual impact of the bar. Where there is an adjoining floor at the same height, the Invisible T-Bar is the correct profile to use instead.

Fitting and Cutting

Screw or glue the fixing track to the subfloor at the floor edge. Once the floor is fitted up to the track, push the End Bar into the track to finish. If you cannot use the track, glue the bar to the subfloor and pin through the bar into the floor while the adhesive sets. Alternatively, glue and weigh the bar down until the adhesive sets.

Cut to length with a chopsaw or jigsaw.

The invisible end bar is available in 0.9m. This length suits most standard patio door, bifold door, fireplace, and mat well openings and cuts down easily to fit.
